I'm Dermot O'Shea, the CEO and co-Founder of Taoglas, a trusted provider of antennas and IoT components.
I've launched this newsletter to update you on what's happening in Taoglas. Each month, I'll share insights on industry trends and the latest innovations within our company.

Now, What's Happening at Taoglas?
Inception – The World's First Patch-in-a-Patch Antenna I was recently at Embedded World North America, where it was great to catch up with everyone and where we showcased our latest and greatest innovations, such as "Inception", the industry's first "Patch-in-a-Patch" antenna.
The HP5354.A is the first-of-its-kind antenna that offers dual-band stacked patch performance in a standard 35 x 35 x 4mm form factor. Its innovative design reduces antenna height by 50%, decreases weight, and saves horizontal real estate, making it the perfect choice for GNSS applications demanding precision and accuracy with limited space.
This Inception is so innovative it also earned a spot as a finalist in the "Excellence in Product Design" category at the Elektra Awards!

Taoglas Invisible Antenna™ Series The Inception antenna follows a series of industry firsts and award wins for Taoglas this year. We also launched our Taoglas Invisible Antenna™ series, made from a new transparent manufacturing technology that supports cellular, Wi-Fi, and GNSS technologies. These transparent flexible antennas are an alternative to standard Flexible PCB antennas.
You, our customers, drove the development of this product by communicating that you may want to install an antenna in a covert area or on a surface you want to keep visible.
The Invisible Antenna is also award-winning, having won the "IoT Innovation of the Year Award" at the Mobile Breakthrough Awards.

Robert Huntley from the EE Times recently stopped by one of our two Irish offices to meet with Baha Badran, Taoglas' Head of Engineering, and me. We chatted about the antenna design process and how Taoglas keeps pace with industry demand and supply chain challenges. It was a pleasure to catch up with Robert and talk about all thing's antennas!
