Welcome to the latest edition of O'Shea Insights, my newsletter to keep you informed about what's happening at Taoglas and the innovations shaping connectivity.
Our mission is clear: to deliver breakthrough connectivity solutions that meet the highest standards, even in the most demanding environments.
In this issue, I focus on the Aerospace and Defense sector, where precision, reliability, and performance are non-negotiable. We are committed to making a big impact in this industry and have the right team, resources and products (COTS antennas and advanced RF components) ready, including the appointment of Kevin Blakeley as our Head of Aerospace and Defense.
A former microwave communications and field radio operator in the U.S. Marine Corps, he maintained multi-channel systems for analog and digital transmissions. Kevin was often deployed to remote and high-risk locations to ensure secure and reliable communications between frontline forces and command headquarters. Kevin understands the stakes and what it takes to meet them.
With over 30 years of industry experience, Kevin has worked in both the U.S. Marine Corps and the private sector. In fact, he was a customer of Taoglas for 10 years prior to joining the team. This November, he will also be celebrating his 10-year anniversary with Taoglas. When Kevin was asked what qualities he could bring to Taoglas from the U.S. Marine Corp he said: “Honor, Courage, and Commitment.” That got me thinking how we could apply these values to Taoglas:
Honor At Taoglas, we hold ourselves to the highest standards. We honor our commitments, tackle complex challenges head-on, and deliver fast, simple solutions without compromising quality. Security and confidentiality are always top priorities. Our teams are highly specialized, often small, and require clearance depending on the project's sensitivity.
Courage Courage is at the heart of innovation. At Taoglas, we are not just witnessing progress; we are driving it. From pioneering products like The Invisible Antenna to our collaboration with the European Space Agency through NAVISP, we’re developing cutting-edge GNSS solutions for the next generation of Aerospace and Defense applications.
We’ve also recently released our new, free Smart Battlefield Guide, a go-to resource for mission-critical wireless solutions. The guide covers everything from anti-jamming GNSS systems to AI-powered targeting and multi-domain operations. It also explores how emerging technologies transform land, sea, air, and space connectivity.
CommitmentWe are one of the only global antenna vendors with full manufacturing traceability outside of China. Every Taoglas antenna is available with a country of origin from the USA, Ireland, Vietnam, Taiwan, or India - giving our customers secure, reliable, and compliant sourcing options. Our facilities in Vietnam and Taiwan meet the most stringent requirements, and we continue to invest in our U.S. headquarters in San Diego, with a strong focus on “Made in America” production, where cable and antenna assemblies can be customized. We’ve also earned critical certifications to support our customers' most sensitive projects:
At Taoglas, our commitment to Aerospace and Defense is built on action. We're ready to support your mission with the highest innovation, security, and reliability levels. Our world-class team is ready to guide you through the best options for your requirements, ensuring you receive the right antenna at the right cost from the right location delivered by the world's best co-pilots.
If you would like to discuss a specific project or technical challenge or explore how Taoglas can support your team, please reach out to Kevin directly at: kblakeley@taoglas.com. He would be happy to arrange a meeting.

PRODUCT LAUNCH: Thunder Series Integrated Antenna Enclosures to Simplify Router Installations and Cut Deployment Costs
I’m excited to share that we’ve just launched our new Thunder Series – a high-performance outdoor antenna enclosure platform built to house and integrate top industrial routers directly within the antenna itself.
It’s made for tough outdoor environments and helps engineers simplify installations, cut down on signal loss, and significantly reduce deployment costs.
You can check out the new series now via the Taoglas website and through the company’s authorized distribution network.
